    Paradip Port Authority (PPA), formerly known as Paradip Port Trust, is a major deep-water port on the east coast of India. It is the only major port in Odisha and serves as a critical maritime gateway for the eastern and central regions of India. The port handles bulk cargo, crude oil, and containers, with an annual throughput exceeding 150 million metric tonnes. Strategically positioned near the confluence of the Mahanadi River and the Bay of Bengal, it supports hinterland states like Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal.
